Ninjatrader 8 Connection Setup Procedure with NimbleNT

In the last tutorial we explored Ninjatrader 8 Installation Procedure. This tutorial explains how to connect Ninjatrader 8 with NimbleNT to get realtime data for NSE Cash, NSE Future, Currency Derivatives and MCX Futures.

NimbleNT is the authorized data vendor for Ninjatrader and supports supports 32 &64 bit NinjaTrader 8, tick charts, automated trial & licensing, faster backfills. Currently NimbleNT supports NSE Cash, NSE Future, Currency Derivatives and MCX Futures.

Data Connection Setup Procedure

1)Download NinjaTrader8-NimbleNT plugin from the link : Download Plugin (supports NinjaTrader 8.0.3.1).

2)Launch Ninjatrader 8. From the Control Center goto Tools->Import->NinjaScript Addon and import the NimbleNT-Ninjatrader plugin(import zip file directly. No need to unzip the file).

3)3rd Party Addon Warning would popup. Press OK and importing of data plugin is done. Once Import is done restart Ninjatrader 8.

4.Now goto Control Center and from the Top Menu select Connections->Configure . Connections Dialog Box opens. Double click on Globaldatafeeds-NimbleNT from the available connections. This will select the data plugin and now press apply button

5)Goto Control Center->Connections and Select NimbleNT plugin as shown.

6)If you are a first time user then registration dialog box opens. Provide the registration details. Registration verification mail is sent to your email id. check your email and click on ‘activation link’ received. Limited period trial is available to test drive Globaldatafeeds-NimbleNT

7)Make sure you provide valid email and phone contact details. So that you can activate your license successfully.

8)Once Registration is successful. Restart Ninjatrader 8 again. Goto Connections->Select Globaldatafeeds NimbleNT plugin again. This Opens the Nimble Data Dashboard from where you can select the required trading instrument symbols for Indian Markets (NSE Cash, NSE Futures, NSE Currency Derivatives, MCX Futures). You can also notice that connection status LED turns green at the bottom left of NT8 Control Center.

9) Select only the required symbols. Avoid importing more than 1000 symbols as this could affect your ninjatrader 8 performance if you are importing all the 40,000 plus symbols in NSE FNO segment. Press Continue to import all the selected symbols to Ninjatrader Master Database automatically.

10)Goto Control Center -> New -> Chart and this opens Instrument Database Dialog Box (Data Series)

11)Search from the Instrument Database. Select the required symbol and press Apply

12)This Open the Data Series Settings for the required symbol. Now Set the Data Type (Tick, Range, Minute), Days to Load and the Trading hours and Press OK

13)Bingo You are Done! Now Start with your Technical Analysis by reading the charts and applying your favorite indicators.
